Hi I’m Lauren!
ARTIST. CREATOR. DREAMER. OPTIMIST. MOTIVATOR. BELIEVER.
My story is: I’m all about sharing creative art, one painting at a time. I love painting, resin art, and designing jewelry. I’m also a coffee-drinking, dog owner, former computer nerd.
I hope to inspire others to express their creative side, get your hands messy in paint, and make something beautiful from nothing, with only paper and paint. Everyone has an artistic ability; I really believe that! Be inspired to begin your own creative journey!
I’m a California artist on the central coast, and I love to create artistic, abstract style paintings, and design jewelry. I play around in acrylic paint, airbrush paint, resin painting and dabble in digital graphic design.
Born and raised on the coast of California, I’ve always loved the sea, the sound of the roaring waves, the warmth of the sand between my toes, sunsets and sunrises.
I attended San Diego University as an art major, instead, got married, had children, and eventually went to work as a certified paralegal, and in 1999 I was a computer software technician (ah… you know, the starving artist?). Happily married, raised 3 beautiful kids, and gained a whole new family with my husband Larry and his two daughters. Now there’s 11 grandchildren spread out all over the country, plus one on the way.
Even when I was employed, I was making and selling jewelry as a hobby, still dreaming of becoming a full time artist. Art has always been a part of my life, thanks to my grandmother, Mary Cole. Mary was a professional watercolor artist in Cambria, CA. She painted hundreds of paintings that ended up all over the world. She loved painting flowers, landscapes and seascapes. I credit my grandmother for her inspiration and my love of color, design, and shapes.
After my grandmother passed in 2003 at the age of 92, she left me several of her paintings. Recently I decided to have them professionally photographed and made available as prints to order. Using an online print service, I am able to provide wall prints, posters, handbags, coffee cups, pillows, and many different types of items with her artwork.
I hope you enjoy my work (and my Grandmother’s), and I’m excited to have you join me as I embark on this new chapter in my life.
